Welcome to Space

In 2015, a travelling office was born in a green Stockholm suburb. One that was free to use by anyone, willing to make a change for everyone.

An office where you pay for your rent with green ideas, instead of cash 💸

Creative Space was a workspace created for The Absolut Company to spearhead its efforts into sustainable practices through crowdsourcing and collaboration.

Built from repurposed old Absolut shipping containers, Creative Space was generously equipped and welcomed anyone, rent-free, as long as they spent their time working on sustainable projects.

Green innovation in blue containers

Creative space housed green entrepreneurs and their pet-projects from all over Europe. From new bottle designs aimed at reducing unusable space in freight containers…

…to energy-efficient ways to cool down big buildings in hot countries and a hundred other projects in between.

One space, one hundred activities

Besides being an office, Creative space hosted everything from hackathons and live bands…

…To seminars and social experiments.

With even more space online

Schedules, interviews, DIY tutorials, etc, were available online for those who wanted more or simply couldn’t come.

Repurpose instead of retire

To build Creative Space, the most logical decision was to repurpose some of Absolut Company’s old retired shipping containers. This also made it mobile enough, that Creative space could be sent to different places for different audiences.
